When Xiaomi launched the Mi 11, it notably didn’t unveil a “Pro” version.
Rumors, however, indicated that more powerful versions were coming later. Now it’s official: Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra on March 29.
The reveal, which will happen at an online-only event, was announced by Xiaomi on Weibo. It kicks off on March 29, 7:30 p.m. Beijing time (7:30 a.m. ET).
Xiaomi has also announced a global event on the same date, though the company only said new products are being launched, without revealing any details on what they are.
Both the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and the Mi 11 Ultra are likely to sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, just like the Mi 11.
However, the two new phones are rumored to come with more powerful specs. Android Central says the Mi 11 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50/48/48-megapixel main camera with up to 120x digital zoom, and a 5,000mAh battery.
As for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, it’s likely to also have a 120Hz display and a 50-megapixel main rear camera, but other specs will be lagging behind the Ultra.
Xiaomi’s Mi 11 is a pretty capable phone, with a great design and a ton of features, with the camera perhaps being its weakest point. Given that the camera is where the new phones will likely be improved the most, Xiaomi may have a true competitor (or two) to today’s most powerful flagship phones.
