It’s tough being a gamer. It’s especially difficult when you suffer from gear-envy. You know, the constant feeling of wanting, even though you’ve technically got everything you need for some decent gaming sessions.

Regardless, when you fall into the deep rabbit hole of gaming peripherals, it becomes increasingly difficult to get out, especially when you’ve got disposable income.

Then comes the struggle of having to sneak your new purchases around family members and loved ones, in your (probably always) futile attempt at deception. The criticism; people questioning your motives – you want none of that. All you’re looking forward to is trying out your new gear.

Some game stores go above and beyond to make sure their customers get to enjoy their new gadgets in peace.

Just ask Singapore-based Endless Passion, who did just that when a (presumably young) customer ordered a Logitech gaming mouse that cost the guy US$180 (S$239).

The customer had privately-messaged the store, asking them to use discreet packaging when delivering the fancy new mouse to his address:

“Hi, just a question,” the customer starts off. “Is it possible for you to wrap this in a simple package cover when I buy it today?”

The shop then replies with an automated message, saying they’ll get back to him soon. The customer then playfully explains that he wants to hide his new purchase from his mother. And out of no where, with absolutely no hesitation, “Ok sure,” the shop replies.

While many stores might just ignore such a bizarre request, Endless Passion really stayed true to their name.

Without even being told to go that far in terms of the packaging, Endless Passion managed to disguise the customer’s new mouse as a shipment of ‘study books’. Now his mother will think he’s incredibly studious. Good for him.

The store shared this wonderful little adventure on their official Facebook page. And it’s no surprise that the post has now gone viral:

“Safety [sic] delivered,” reads the cheeky post.

And Facebook users had a field day reacting to it. Here are some of the funniest ones.

No. God, please. GOD, NOOOOOOOO. IMAGE: Endless Passion / Facebook

We sure hope mom never finds out, dear customer who bought that expensive mouse.
