Despite the release of Sony’s new PS5 game console, I’m sure there’s a lot of us still holding on to our PS4s.
After all, they still support a lot of new titles, and for the most part, they offer good bang for your buck.
But if there’s one thing every console owner struggles, it’s portability. Yes, we can still technically bring our PS4 everywhere, but not gracefully.
One Japanese Twitter user, @DXTerraria, seems to have solved that problem with a PS4 suitcase, aka the ‘Porta-PS4’.
Bear in mind, this isn’t just a PS4 stuffed into a suitcase. It’s an entire gaming rig made to look like one:

Complete with a display that takes up half of the suitcase.
But what are the specs like on this bad boy?
Powered by a 20,000 mAh LiPo battery, you can expect to enjoy up to one hour of play with the Porta-PS4. Yeah, it’s really not that much. But hey, it’s something.
In terms of physical dimensions, the contraption measures 390mm x 280mm x 110mm and weighs 6.4 kilograms.
And when you finally run out of juice after some gameplay (you most definitely will), there are three different ways to charge the machine – a custom AC adaptor, a USB-C (PD compatible) charger, and even your run-of-the-mill laptop AC adaptor.
And here it is in all its glory:
The sad news: It’s not for sale. According to @DXTerraria, the rough price estimate that goes into the parts used to build this contraption will cost you somewhere around the ballpark of US$458. Yikes.
But in case you do have money to spend on a Frankenstein gaming console, you can check out this behemoth by Origin PC:
Dubbed the ‘Big O’ (very suggestive name), you’ve essentially got a two-in-one gaming rig, featuring an Xbox One X and a PS4 Pro, with the option to outfit a dock for a Nintendo Switch.
Add some liquid cooling into the mix and you’ve got yourself a beast.
You can get your very own ‘Big O’ here.
What do you think about the ‘Porta-PS4’?
